MAZEMENT (demo)

MAZEMENT is a bite sized 2D visual novel puzzle game where death doesn't care about you enough to put you in hell.

You find yourself arriving at forgotten labyrinth, either by force or fate, filled with traps and puzzles beyond comprehension.  Study your surroundings to get through environments of uncanny and arrive at the end. But beware : you are being hunted, just like the beast you are.

You do know how to get out right?

• Short, bite-sized surreal horror experience.
• Point-and-click your way through with only one ending.
• Handcrafted 3D environments reminiscent of PS2 era.
• Mix of horror and comedy for good measure. 
• The only way out is down.
• Seriously, just jump down.

This game demo was made for the Spooktober Visual Novel Jam 2024.

PUZZLE SOLUTIONS

First puzzle is grid based puzzle. Move around the pieces until you form a picture. Second puzzle is based off on light in the desk room - match the desk full of light with boxes.

KNOWN ISSUES

Sometimes you have to click few times before a character moves. This doesn't happen using arrow-based movement. Continue button bugs out sometimes, currently unable to fix it. You can play the entire game in its entirety.

Author's note :

I worked on it for 2 weeks and 2 days (had busy month) so this is a demo for something more in the future?? I recognize it will be judged just like full pieces for the Jam but I hope you'll like it!
